This year, STEPS Engineers Week is going digital! Taking place online from 27 February – 5 March, join the Engineers Ireland STEPS team in celebrating the world of engineering in Ireland this STEPS Engineers Week.

The STEPS team have lots of resources for secondary school students to get involved at home, including these highlighted activities:
Take the Wind Energy Challenge: Secondary school students take on the Wind Turbine Challenge and explore sustainability in engineering. Available free to download, this can be carried out with materials found in the home.
As Creative Engineering Quizzes: Do you have what it takes to get top marks in the STEPS Engineers Quiz? As Creatives has created PowerPoint quizzes to explore engineering remotely. Challenge your students to see who the ultimate engineer is! Watch the intro short film to learn more about engineering all around you. Register to access.
As Creative Engineering Trails: Designed by As Creatives and new for STEPS Engineers Week 2021 are two Engineering Trail packages, each featuring a pack of 11 activities aimed at secondary school students. Check out the packs to view which activity your students can carry out remotely. Register to access.
STEM Stories: The STEPS team has selected a list of books about engineering and STEM in the STEM Stories Reading List. The STEM Stories Film and Documentaries list will get students excited about engineering and STEM through the selected movies. Used as part of a lesson, movies can spark discussion and reinforce topics. Register to access the film and documentaries list.
Being Civil Podcast – Special STEPS Engineers Week Edition: Are you considering civil engineering as a career or educational option? A special edition of the podcast is being recorded for STEPS Engineers Week 2021, with students of the Civil Engineering degree at GMIT discussing their engineering journey. New for 2021, this is available exclusively to registered activity organisers, including secondary school teachers.
